Feast of Flora

A Multi-sensory Dining Experience in Collaboration with Chef Elisa da Prato

Dinner course feast with each dish integrating elements of flower and forest, drawing on recipes from Ancient Rome as well as the velveteen woods of northern Tuscany. Guests were seated at an Etruscan-inspired, living tablescape featuring vessels by Simone Bodmer Turner. and with a performance by Julia Crockett & Group.

The Calyx Story (2017)

A short film by filmmaker Shawna Ferreira, The Calyx Story is a tale about alchemy, transmutation, and the bond between The Moon and The Sea. The film stars Julia Crockett (of the Julia Crockett Group), Hillary Ives and Basie Allen, with music by ARP (Alexis Georgopoulos), Aerial East and Stray Echo.

Shawna Ferreira is a filmmaker/photographer based in New York. Ferreira studied Fine Art before embarking on a career as a filmmaker, stradling both the commericial and art worlds. She has been featured in Vogue Itlalia, Vogue Paris and Vogue Australia for her work starring Chloë Sevigny. Ferreira’s most recent video work features Toni Garrn in collaboration with Vestiaire Collective. Currently, she is writing and focusing on her first feature film.

Written by Allen, a poet, the tale tells of a love between two celestial bodies moving through the stages of their bond between the heavens and land. The bodies are draped in Piazza’s intimates label Calyx, while the actors engage in a ritualistic play showcasing the art of natural dye with a modern twist, and that combined cast a love potion for your eyes.
